Time to post again!

Ok... So, I've done great at the taking the pictures part of this experiment... not so good at the posting of said photos. :) So, here are the pics I've taken over the several days.

Day 21, Tuesday March 9, 2010
The view of the mountains from the parking lot of my school. Yup, I really do work that far west!

Day 22, Wednesday, March 10, 2010
I just thought this was an awesome shot!

Day 23, Thursday, March 11, 2010
I was walking down the isle of a store today and thought these lanterns looked really cool. I love the colors!

Day 24, Friday, March 12, 2010
My friends cute dog asking for some water...
Since I was up home this weekend I couldn't help but take a few pics of my favorite view of Antelope Island - I'm going to be really sad the day this field turns into houses.

Day 25, Saturday, March 13, 2010
Gotta love spring weather! Rain, snow and a little sunshine... all in one day!

Day 26, Sunday, March 14, 2010
An awesome sunset!

Day 27, Monday March 15, 2010
The other day someone in my building posted this sign above the mailboxes. I have wanted to do this for a LONG time - because our mailperson LOVES to shove our junk mail in our boxes bending and folding everything he/she has already put in our boxes.

Day 28, Tuesday March 16, 2010
Today I met up with Derek and his girlfriend and we all went out to my favorite place for some gelato! YUM!!
And I couldn't help but take a pic of all the Italian coffee cans lined up in the window.

Day 29, Wednesday, March 17, 2010
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I was feeling creative and decided to paint my nails green for the festive day of wearing green.
And you can't celebrate St. Patty's day without....
Green Beer!

Day 30, Thursday, March 18, 2010
I just love the name of this wine... the Birdman. And the label is pretty cool too!

Day 31, Friday, March 19, 2010
Another crazy weather day... but an amazing sunset!

Day 32, Saturday, March 20, 2010
I had pretty much forgotten to take a pic all day today... so here is the best I could do... I tried others but they didn't turn out so well...

Day 33, Sunday, March 21, 2010
Today I went off roading for the first time ever. It was a TON of fun! Saw some great scenery and on the way there, I had never seen so many motorcycles in the same place in my life... made me want one SSSSOOOOO bad!!!!
This shot doesn't really capture how many bikes there really were but seriously, at just 1 gas station there were at least 200 and the line to get inside the gas station went all the way down the block! Nuts!
Hopefully this next week I will do better at posting my pics!

Days 17 - 19

Day 17, Friday March 5, 2010
It snowed quite a bit Thursday night so I figured I better get out and enjoy my day off - and get some shots of the snow before it melted. Most of it had melted by the time I got out to take some pictures but I'm glad I was able to get a few good shots.

Day 18, Saturday March 6, 2010
I recently ventured to NPS, a store that several people have told me about - it is where they sell the unclaimed items from shipping companies like UPS. A lot of the stuff they sell really is junk - but from what I hear, at times you can find some really good stuff. Well, I just happened to find some of my favorite Italian treats that I haven't had in YEARS!! I was so excited I had to take pictures of my find... I even found Croatian chocolate! YUM!

Day 19, Sunday March 7, 2010
For my birthday I splurged and bought myself a nice bedroom set which includes the bed, dresser and nightstand. I have always had a thing for dark wood... maybe it stems back to all those days of playing cards on Grama's mahogany table - Anyways,
I have always wanted to take pictures of my bedset because I love the decorative metal which accents the wood. The light was just perfect today so I was able to get a few good shots of it. This one is my favorite!
Day 20, Monday, March 8, 2010
Today I thought I would dedicate my photos to my FAVORITE morning drink COFFEE!!!!
I remember as a kid going over to Grama's house when she and Grampa lived in Roy - we would run in Grama's house and say hi and give hugs.. and quickly run over to her next door neighbor's house for a treat. Ruth always had coffee candies and the quickly became one of my favorites! Ever since then, I have loved the smell and the taste of coffee. I love the way it tastes and smells! Ah, the only thing I look forward to in the morning!

The Latest Pics

This has been once CRAZY week! Parent teacher conferences, lots of grading... means LONG hours at school. And many days of not seeing much sunlight - so, considering I was stuck inside, I took the chance to take a few random pics around my classroom each day...

Day 13, March 1, 2010

Day 14, March 2, 2010
Today I had MANY lulls between visits with parents so I had a lot of time to take random pictures around my desk.

Day 15, March 3, 2010
Another day LONG DAY of parent teacher conferences - and taking pics around my classroom. This day I thought I would pull out my dictionary and try a few things with that. I really like the way a few of them turned out!

Day 16, March 4, 2010
Yay! I left work before dark! The first time in 3 days! So, I took the opportunity to hit up the library and check out some new documentaries. I LOVE the city library. It is such a beautiful building. I have taken so many pictures of it over the years - I tried to get some that I have never done before.

Day 10, February 26, 2010
Today as I was driving to work I noticed that the sunrise was just beautiful! I was running a little later than usual and knowing I needed to get to work and get stuff done before the kids started showing up, I was stopped at the light to turn onto 8400 West and figured it was the perfect time to pull out the camera and take a few shots so I wouldn't miss it all. I love the view from out there. Just incredible! And the colors this morning were amazing!

Day 11, February 27, 2010
This week my friend Maria was celebrating her birthday at the Tavernacle - one of my favorite bars! It was a BLAST!! We got there pretty early so that we could be sure to get our seats - we had some of the best seats in the house. Here is the view I had from my seat - I love that I could get the sign at the bar and the piano in one shot!

Technically this could be posted under day 12 but I'm gonna keep it with day 11 because it was the end of the PARTY at the Tavernacle. The original was very dark and all you could see was the do not enter sign. But when I played with it a little bit, this is what happened.. and I LOVE it!

Day 12, February 28, 2010

Today as I was driving home I stopped at the stop sign on 11th east, as I always do, and admired the view of downtown. This time I decided I should take a pic of the view. Not the greatest of shots, but I love the streak of white and red lights as the cars continue on their way.

Day 9

Day 9, February 25, 2010

Today I had to stay late because of wrestling (the last day I have to- yeah!) I got a lot of work done and I was quite excited because now, you can actually see my desk!

My latest prized possession - Italian - English dictionaries. Teaching Italian with NO resources has proven to be a pain in the ass! I finally was able to order a classroom set of dictionaries and they have proven to be a LIFESAVER!! Not many people would get excited about dictionaries but I sure do!

Day #8

Day 8, February 24, 2010

This first picture I actually took the other day but for some reason it wouldn't upload... anywho, I thought I would add it because it reminds me a lot of Clinton - I have always loved the view of Antelope Island from 1300N... Granted it isn't Antelope Island nor is it the wheat field in Clinton, but still a beautiful view.
Today I figured since I was going to be stuck in Magna ALL NIGHT because of work stuff, I would take a few pictures around where I work. My school is just down the street from Magna's main street which these days - doesn't really amount to much but driving down it, I can just imagine what this street was like during the mining heydays there.

This first shot is just a mural on the side of a building advertising the Magna Times - the local newspaper.
And a black and white shot too...

And finally, the famous Colosimo's Sausage store. I never realized that Colosimo's was so close! I now know where I need to visit to get me some good Italian sausage!

I love this pic too because it looks like a painting!
