So, Chad works for Karl Malone Toyota... and Karl just happened to be cleaning out some his storage sheds and Chad got his hands on this banner thing that was actually hanging in the rafters when the Jazz won the division championships in 1997... it may have been a long time ago.. but I remember it all!

The other day someone in my building posted this sign above the mailboxes. I have wanted to do this for a LONG time - because our mailperson LOVES to shove our junk mail in our boxes bending and folding everything he/she has already put in our boxes.

Today I went off roading for the first time ever. It was a TON of fun! Saw some great scenery and on the way there, I had never seen so many motorcycles in the same place in my life... made me want one SSSSOOOOO bad!!!!
This shot doesn't really capture how many bikes there really were but seriously, at just 1 gas station there were at least 200 and the line to get inside the gas station went all the way down the block! Nuts!
Hopefully this next week I will do better at posting my pics!

Day 17, Friday March 5, 2010

It snowed quite a bit Thursday night so I figured I better get out and enjoy my day off - and get some shots of the snow before it melted. Most of it had melted by the time I got out to take some pictures but I'm glad I was able to get a few good shots.

I recently ventured to NPS, a store that several people have told me about - it is where they sell the unclaimed items from shipping companies like UPS. A lot of the stuff they sell really is junk - but from what I hear, at times you can find some really good stuff. Well, I just happened to find some of my favorite Italian treats that I haven't had in YEARS!! I was so excited I had to take pictures of my find... I even found Croatian chocolate! YUM!

For my birthday I splurged and bought myself a nice bedroom set which includes the bed, dresser and nightstand. I have always had a thing for dark wood... maybe it stems back to all those days of playing cards on Grama's mahogany table - Anyways, I have always wanted to take pictures of my bedset because I love the decorative metal which accents the wood. The light was just perfect today so I was able to get a few good shots of it. This one is my favorite!

Today I thought I would dedicate my photos to my FAVORITE morning drink COFFEE!!!!
I remember as a kid going over to Grama's house when she and Grampa lived in Roy - we would run in Grama's house and say hi and give hugs.. and quickly run over to her next door neighbor's house for a treat. Ruth always had coffee candies and the quickly became one of my favorites! Ever since then, I have loved the smell and the taste of coffee. I love the way it tastes and smells! Ah, the only thing I look forward to in the morning!

This has been once CRAZY week! Parent teacher conferences, lots of grading... means LONG hours at school. And many days of not seeing much sunlight - so, considering I was stuck inside, I took the chance to take a few random pics around my classroom each day...

Yay! I left work before dark! The first time in 3 days! So, I took the opportunity to hit up the library and check out some new documentaries. I LOVE the city library. It is such a beautiful building. I have taken so many pictures of it over the years - I tried to get some that I have never done before.
