My favorites...

And the verdict is....

You Belong in San Francisco

You crave an eclectic, urban environment. You're half California, half NYC.
You're open minded, tolerant, and secretly think you're the best.
People may dismiss you as a hippie, but you're also progressive, interesting, and rich!

I have been back from California for about two weeks now. I wish I could have stayed forever. I don't know what it is, but I love it there! It was a quick trip- just enough to get away and forget about life in Utah for a bit. We drove down on Monday and spent 2 days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park and 1 at Seaworld before driving back on Friday. We couldn't have planned a better time to go. By 11am on Tuesday we had already gone on all the major rollercoasters at least once. And by the end of the day, we had hit just about every ride- even the kiddie rides like Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Which, I have to admit, they are just as fun now as they were when I was 10! So, the rest of the time we spent watching some of the shows that they put on and going on more rides.

All in all it was great fun. Seaworld was a blast also. It was fun to see all the amazing animals they have there. I still wonder what it would be like to be a dolphin trainer. The shows were fabulous as always. My favorite show was of course the dolphins. They are just so cute! Here are some pics of what we saw at Seaworld:

Finally...

That was me just a few days ago...3 days of no sleep (literally) to finish my paper which didn't turn out that great in the end... But the semester is finally over and I have to admit that it feels great. It was a hell of a semester! Now we just have to hope I don't have to retake any courses. That would suck! So, you may ask what does a girl do when she finishes the semester from hell??

She goes to Disneyland of course! A much needed and deserved break! Ramon and I have an exciting trip planned and we head out bright and early Monday morning. 2 days at Disneyland and 1 day at Seaworld. It will be a pretty quick trip. Just enough to get away and have some fun for a few days. I can't wait!!

As for the rest of the summer... No classes for me! Wow, how strange. It has only been 3 days since school got out and I am already wondering what to do. I am not used to having free time like this. I have a lot of little projects that I hope to get done before I go back to school in August. And a lot of BBQ's out on the balcony with my neighbors before I move.

Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned that yet... I am moving at the end of July. I just can't justify taking out much more in student loans to stay in SLC when I will be doing my student teaching closer to home. It will be good to spend more time with the family- one thing I don't get to do a whole lot of now...

Anyways, I will be sure to post some pics from the trip and update y'all again soon! Ciao~

Writers Block

I have been trying to work on my paper tonight at work but the writer’s block continues. It is amazing how writer’s block can affect you... I sit at the computer hoping that the words will just flow- but they don’t. It is so easy to get bogged down with fear. The fear of not knowing enough and not being good enough. It never seems to end. Everyone tries to be so supportive and encouraging but it doesn’t do any good... unless they want to just write the paper for me  I wouldn’t mind... but my professor might. So needless to say, I still have 25 pages to go... and I’m not sure even where to start. So many ideas but none of them cohesive- even to me- so I don’t know how they will make a good paper. It will get done in due time I am sure of that because I really don’t have a choice... the semester ends when it ends. It doesn’t wait for people like me. One week to go and it will all be over with... One week and I can come out of hibernation. I feel like I have been a total recluse this semester filling my head with ideas of fascism and its origins in Italy... Man, I will be grateful the day I don’t have to utter those words again!

Stress... That is an understatement!

Well, by now I should be well on my way with that wonderful thing called a senior paper. But leave it to me... to freak out at the last minute and try to change my topic, then change it back when I realize how incredibly stupid it would be to change at this point. As long as I can get a draft done by Sunday life will be good. I may get no sleep till then but at least it will get done :) Then I can come out of hibernation :) Wahoo!!!
